This class will provide an overview of the City of Plano purchasing process, including the legislation and City policies that govern us. There will also be some detail regarding the procedures that are used, areas of responsibility, and the various methods of procurement. This class is intended for any City staff members that are, or may be, involved in purchasing items and/or services for their department.
This class will not cover the details of the J.D. Edwards purchasing processes. J.D Edwards purchasing training is offered in class PD3208.
