On Monday, May 21 from 10-11 a.m. you are invited to participate in a SERVE recap session where past endeavors and future initiatives will be conveyed via Skype* about our “Journey to SERVE.”
On April 16, a video from our City Manager Bruce Glasscock was sent to Team Plano. The message focused on our organizational values (what is most important to us) which make up the acronym, SERVE (Stewardship Engaged Respectful Visionary Excellence).
Later that week, an employee Town Hall meeting was held to further explain these new values. Bruce also shared the plan to integrate SERVE into facets of our operations, performance and recognition.
Neither of SERVE’s core values are “SELF-centered.” Rather, the characteristics of SERVE focus on the interests of those we come in contact with daily – internally and externally. Each of us plays a vital role in successfully incorporating these new principles on the job. Understanding what SERVE means and why SERVE was chosen, increases your understanding of how we can SERVE the City of Excellence together as valued members of Team Plano.
To join the Skype meeting on May 21, watch your email for an E-invite with instructions.
* The Skype meeting will be recorded.
