Get ready to sign up for awesome summer fun for the whole family on Saturday, May 5. Starting at 8 a.m., the Parks and Recreation department opens registration to Plano residents. By now you should have received a copy of the new book by mail; if not peruse it online. Non-residents must wait to sign up for classes until Monday, May 7 at 5 a.m.
This edition of the Plano Recreation catalog is packed with details about incredible classes, outdoor events, personal development courses and athletics for all ages and physical abilities. The book is also filled with information about pool and facility rentals to help make your summer gatherings more fun!
There are three ways to register:
Online – before you do, make sure you have an active account established.
In person – visit the recreation center convenient to your location.
Phone – call any of the recreation centers (lines will be busy the first few hours, so please be patient).
NOTE……Summer Camp Registration is Already Open!
What will your kids do this summer? Let the Parks and Recreation folks help answer that one – Summer Camp! Registration is already open for camps and sports clinics. A great assortment of fun indoor and outdoor classes is available: creative arts activities, gymnastics, fishing, water games, swimming, nature and more! The wildly popular Camp Connections and outdoor Camp Cimarron sessions are offered all summer long.
New this year, patrons can register for Camp Connections, a full-day indoor choice. These weekly camps are held at Carpenter and Liberty Recreation Centers from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. pre-camp option and a 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. post- camp option.
