Neighbors helping neighbors is at the heart of the current Municipal Center lobby display. Plano Code Abatement by Residents Engaged in Service (CARES) is the program linking City materials with helpful volunteers to assist homeowners in need.
Kala Krishnan, Rachel Bernish and Daniel Weyandt of Neighborhood Services created a tell-all display to showcase this service. According to Kala,
“The CARES program uses the power of volunteerism to help residents in need with addressing code violations on their property. Neighborhood Services provides the tools and materials, all we need are volunteers to help! Workdays are the second Saturday of each month from March through November.”
