Celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month and take a trip down local memory lane with the Municipal Center lobby display. The display, provided by K’Ann Parham, Tina Bashor and Suzanne Miller of Parks & Recreation, revels in the citywide appeal of our nationally-accredited parks system. The title of the display is “Parks & Recreation – A Lifetime of Discovery.” K’Ann shares details about the design:
“Our display window is a time capsule showcasing where Plano Parks and Recreation began some 50 years ago and the thoughtful, innovative things we’ve accomplished since then. This July, explore everything the department offers – playgrounds, recreation centers, sports leagues and summer camps! These are just a few of the things that come to mind, but there is so much more. During National Park and Recreation Month, explore the “undiscovered” benefits of local conveniently-located parks and the varied recreation services Plano provides – a connective trail system for easy travel, senior programs, inventive health and wellness opportunities, community celebrations, outdoor education, green space maintenance and more.”
