Discover the Flex in your FSA

If you enrolled in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) this year, you are taking advantage of tax savings on your eligible out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses. Your FSA gives you many options for reimbursement.

If you enrolled in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) this year, you are taking advantage of tax savings on your eligible out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses. Your FSA gives you many options for reimbursement:

  • If you elected Health Care FSA, use your MasterCard debit card for office visits, at the pharmacy or to pay doctor bills. If you need a new MasterCard, please contact the UHC FSA team at 1-866-755-2648
  • Elect Automatic Payment to have any money you pay out of pocket for health care paid directly to you without submitting receipts. ***This feature is automatically elected every year and you have to log on to myuhc.com to remove the election.***
  • Receipts for claims can be faxed to UHC, mailed or uploaded to myuhc.com.
  • Elect to have your reimbursement direct deposited into your bank account or mailed to your home address in PeopleSoft. You will need to log on to myuhc.com to elect direct deposit.
  • File your 2017 expenses for reimbursement by March 31, 2018.
  • If you did not use all of your Health Care FSA in 2017, you can roll up to $500 into 2018 but you had to re-enroll during Open Enrollment. The 2018 funds are used first before the roll over funds. You have one year to use any money rolled over.
