Sometimes we sign up for virtual classes and workshops, but miss out because the events aren’t on our Outlook calendars. This happens more now since COVID-19 halted in-person training sessions.
Typically, an “add to your calendar” option is sent to everyone who registers for a class or webinar. The event is automatically posted to Outlook and a reminder is sent so you don’t forget to attend. This is the process for classes allowing unlimited participants.
The problem occurs when signing up for Zoom sessions with a cap on the number of registrants. These classes and webinars allow the instructor to either approve or deny registrations once the maximum number of enrollments has been achieved. No “add to your calendar” option is sent with the confirmation email.
