FIRST, congratulations to Plano Parks for ranking #17 among the nation’s 100 largest cities on the Trust for Public Land ParkScore Index – the top rated Texas city on the 2020 list.  Here’s what you need to know as of May 19:

CLASSES
June classes and camps are cancelled, except for those at High Point Park Tennis Center and new online classes. All Tennis Center classes have been modified to meet state social distancing guidelines.

The summer session begins July 6. These classes and camps are subject to cancellation, depending on state guidelines. Some classes are offered online.

  • Registration for summer sessions is open for online signups only.
  • Staff can answer questions during normal operation hours:  Carpenter at 972-208-8087, Liberty at 972-769-4234, Oak Point at 972-941-7540 and Tom Muehlenbeck at 972-769-4404.

SUMMER CAMPS and SPORTS CLINICS
To ensure all children adhere to physical distancing rules, Camp Connections, Camp Cimarron, Teen Outreach and Adventure Camp, Sports and Adventure Camp, Counselor-in-Training Camp and Junior Golf Camp are cancelled for the summer.

Some specialized camps may be held in July and August with social distancing modifications. Plano Independent School District, in accordance with UIL, will determine if the youth sports clinics can be held.

Refunds will be given for children already registered for camps cancelled for the summer.

ADAPTED RECREATION CLASSES and AEROBATS GYMNASTICS CLASSES
A waitlist is being compiled for these classes. Patrons will be contacted if July or August classes open.
