Take Health Info on the Road with New UHC App

UHC app 2019

United Healthcare (UHC) has announced the launch of the new UnitedHealthcare app. This new member service provides secure, on-the-go access to personal health information. UHC-enrolled employees are encouraged to start using the UnitedHealthcare app because the Health4Me app is going away – perhaps as soon as the first of the year.

Both apps have similar features, but there are some enhancements with the new version. Users can now have a simplified health experience to:

  • Find nearby care and pricing
  • Video chat with a doctor 24/7 — without leaving the app
  • View Optum Bank financial account balances
  • See claims, Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and deductible info
  • View and share health plan ID card

Other features include HealthSafe ID, “Contact Us,” paperless preference and pharmacy details. HealthSafe ID allows access to information, apps and website resources with a username and password to ensure safety and privacy. Members can use their existing Health4Me user name and password from

With the new app, you’ll appreciate having in-app messaging, educational materials and more. The Health4Me app and the UnitedHealthcare app will run parallel until the Health4Me app is terminated.

Download the UnitedHealthcare app for free on the App Store® and Google Play®.
