Don’t be one of the sad numbers of people who throw away Flexible Spending Account (FSA) dollars each year.
Here’s a health account reminder…
If you have a flexible spending account in 2019, now is the time to review your balance. You should know if you have an unused amount in this account.
You can carry over up to $500 of your unused Healthcare FSA funds into 2020, as long as you re-enroll in FSA during Open Enrollment. This will apply to unused funds in your account on December 31, 2019. You must use the amount you elect in 2020 before you can access your 2019 Healthcare FSA carry-over funds. The amount you carry over is available for one year only.
Any balance remaining in your Dependent Care FSA account as of December 31, 2019 will be forfeited.
Review and print a list of Over-the-Counter (OTC) medicines and supplies which can be purchased with FSA dollars.
December 31 is the cut-off date to spend FSA funds. Review your UnitedHealthcare account at myuhc.com to be sure claims are properly filed.
