NEW…Age Requirements in Effect for Recreation Centers

Walking track at Oak Point

Parks and Recreation now enforces a new drop-off policy regarding young children.  The department researched the matter thoroughly and considered patron feedback before revising the rules about unattended youth at centers and pools.

Basically, children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian 16 or older at all City recreation facilities. Check the website for a list of changes affecting:Locker room at Oak Point

  • Recreation centers and pools
  • Weight rooms
  • Billiards areas
  • Pools
  • Walking tracks and Racquetball courts
  • Locker/Changing rooms

Signs at each center and pool have more restriction details.
