Remember the Moon Landing? It’s Been 50 Years!

How old were you when news of this exciting futuristic event aired? Come celebrate the history of the Apollo Landing at the Plano Library. Enjoy special programs and a movie commemorating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.

Remember the day by watching the recording, 1969 Walking on the Moon, followed by a discussion and moon-related activities Schimelpfenig Library on Saturday, July 20 at 3 p.m.

Pages 4-5 of ENGAGE offer a number of fun and inspiring ways to enjoy the moon landing a half century later. Plano Library is presenting:

  • Earth from Space – visiting Parr Library (June) and Schimelpfenig (July)
  • Visions of the Future – visiting Haggard Library, June through July
