Beginning July 1, the process for securing discounted DART passes changes. Employees wanting to buy monthly rail and bus tickets won’t get them from Customer and Utility Services anymore. Instead, you’ll use a DART GoPass® Tap Card.
The City currently offers half-price DART monthly passes in paper form. The new process means riders make a one-time purchase of a Tap Card loaded with the monthly pass amount, $96. Afterwards, you submit an Expense Report form to receive the 50% reimbursement of $48.
The reloadable GoPass® Tap Card is the simple way to pay and ride on DART trains and buses. Users can load or reload these transit cards each month online or at a number of area retail locations.
The City will continue to provide free DART Day Passes for work-related travel at the Customer and Utility Service front counter.
