There are reports about AT&T representatives reaching out to employees to sign up for FirstNet. The intent is to entice you to change your personal cell phone service. The FirstNet network is an AT&T-built national LTE network dedicated to public safety and first responders, but also offers “family” deals.
We do not permit organizations or companies (like AT&T) on City property to solicit products or services to employees.
Per City Ordinance Sec. 2-98. Standards of Conduct – Officers and Employees:
(a) Officer and employee standards. No officer or employee of the city shall:
(4) Grant any special consideration, treatment or advantage to any citizen, individual, business organization or group beyond that which is normally available to every other citizen, individual, business organization or group.
If you are approached or contacted by AT&T or other outside vendor to set up booths on City property, advise the entity that no solicitation is allowed.
