Plano Public Library received another Texas Municipal Library Directors Association (TMLDA) honor. It takes a lot to earn the Achievement of Library Excellence Award, but we’ve done it consistently since 2005. Director Libby Holtmann accepted the plaque during the April 8 City Council meeting.
What makes TMLDA’s acknowledgement even better? Only 51 of the state’s 550+ public libraries got the nod for the 2018 service year, putting Plano in the top 10 percentile.
It’s not easy to qualify for this accolade. Applicants are required to address 10 criteria:
