Congratulations to Betty Arguello on her appointment to the Plano Housing Authority Board. The former Harrington Library senior administrative assistant was officially sworn into office during the April 8 City Council meeting. She now serves as one of five members charged with overseeing the City’s low-income housing assistance programs.
Betty has a bachelor degree in Business Administration and Management and is an experienced realtor. Although she no longer works for Plano’s libraries, she serves as a volunteer library assistant for a Plano Independent School District early childhood school. “It’s a learning experience and I love being around children,” Betty says.
The Plano Housing Authority Board meets once a month. Each board member serves a 2-year term.
