Peanut Butter Drive Results Take Bite Out of Hunger

Peanut butter drive with Mayor

How many pounds of peanut butter does it take to make Mayor Harry LaRosiliere grin like a kid on Christmas morning? As he proudly announced the final count for the 2018 North Texas Food Bank Peanut Butter Drive, the answer was revealed - an astonishing 77,810 pounds!

If you remember, the goal set for the anti-hunger regional effort was 50,000 pounds which you helped to exceed in a major way. The mayor shared a heartfelt appreciation, “Plano and the surrounding cities have a “bottomless” kind of generosity!”

The 38.805 tons of nutty spread (peanut, almond, etc.) are earmarked for delivery to needy children and families who rely on the Food Bank to survive.
